The client for this project, the Museum for Contemporary Art Detroit, wanted a mobile, low-cost, securable unit for their merchandise. Dubbed the MOCAD Store, the project took cues from the raw, industrial nature of the Museum in its material pallet: unfinished maple-veneer plywood, OSB, MDO, hardboard, polycarbonate, synthetic field grass, and casters.
